Couldn't give a toss. And why did the big eejit leave Ireland early? Ooh was the thought of being stuck there too scary?

leonoravonwagner · 24/05/2011 23:37

All a load of fuss. He left Ireland early because of the ash-cloud.

Don't see what the fascination is.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 24/05/2011 23:39

So he gets stuck here instead. Big difference. Twit (him, not you leonora!)

Pixel · 24/05/2011 23:40

He might have had to pretend to enjoy another guinness. Grin

I can't see what all the excitement is either, although I did rather enjoy today's Mac cartoon.

piprabbit · 24/05/2011 23:43

I rather enjoyed the footage of the State Banquet - all the men in their white ties and gongs; Tim Burton and Helena B-C looking spiffy; Camilla looking rather lovely; the squeaky blond actress from Pushing Daisies and Glee (how did she get an invite?); Norma edging away from Ffion; Sarah Brown lolloping along engrossed in the menu while GB grinned at the camera; the band ballsing up Obama's toast to the Queen.

More entertaining The Wedding and not on for half so long.

I know. Made me laugh when his car got stuck too.

Love your name by the way, I adored Malory Towers when I was a young 'un. Shame my DD couldn't read them now, but I don't think she would relate to the stories at all. (nearly 7 going on 17 !)

sunnydelight · 25/05/2011 08:01

Oh, my 8yo adores Malory Towers!

I digress.... I was in Ireland last week. They were making a big fuss of Obama's visit (though nothing like the big fuss they were making about the Queen) because the town he was visiting is in the arse end of nowhere and in a country in deep recession they were overjoyed at the idea of making a few bob! The pub had been packed all day for weeks with the press/advance security etc. instead of serving a dozen locals. I loved the fact that Dulux had donated thousands of euros worth of paint so they could tart it all up.

TrillianAstra · 25/05/2011 08:25

How am I supposed to find it?

Were you expecting something more?

Am I supposed to be excited?

BecauseImWorthIt · 25/05/2011 08:27

Well, it is rather important, diplomatically/politically ...

sue52 · 25/05/2011 08:56

Can't see anything special in the relationship. They say jump, we say how high.
