I didn't realise that whilst Scotland and Wales have their own "assemblies" there's no English equivalent. How odd.

Well scotland and britian got together with James I (VI of Scotland)

England and Wales was much earlier with Llyellyn (sp?) maybe 200 yrs before (I think)

And I never did understand the Irish thing

In our family it will always be a british occupied 6 counties.

I agree with him - they have their own 'parliaments' and own laws yet they vote on laws that affect England and not them - why should they? (Of course Labour have done nothing about it because of vast labour vote up in Scotland & Wales)

Have to say, although we have had problems with the English-authorities-taling-to-Welsh stuff, they seem much more efficient here in wales generally ('cept the teachers of ds's, but then again I think they're English)
