RTZ completely change their attitude to the environment

Just listening on R4. I made dh sell our shares when I found out he'd invested in RTZ. Now I hear that so many other people did the same that they were forced to work with the environmentalists to make a new plan of action!

Hooray! Consumer pressure does work!

Who are RTZ?

They used to be called Rio Tinto Zinc. They are a mining company that has torn up huge areas of rainforest in Madagascar. This rainforest is hugely important as a habitat for many unique animals and plants (some of the plants are medicinally important, cancer cures, etc) and many of the natives are incredibly poor and rely upon the forest to live.
