They are probably all too busy giggling at Andrew Lansley's misfortune. Life isnt so easy outside his safe Tory seat.

The BBC seemed so disappointed too by the good news too...

Thankfully, the Lansley news saved them from having to tell people about positive economic indicators, and they could retreat with a renewed sense of smugness into their copies of the Guardian.

It was only male adult unemployment down. Youth and women's unemployment figures have risen.

I think the government would be foolish to start celebrating given that the numbers are relatively low and given that we're only looking at one month. Mind you, that didn't stop Labour claiming the small rise in unemployment the month before was all down to dastardly coalition policies. But if it proves to be the start of a trend then they could be justified in claiming that something is working.
