Wow Impressive find! European Union, politics and Breastfeeding

Hmmm, the European Parliament voted against this in March, I wonder what changed.

MillyR · 07/04/2011 15:09

The title is misleading. According to the article, the EU has ruled that formula milk manufacturers can say that if their product contains synthetic acids, it can improve eyesight. This claim has only been demonstrated for the natural acids in breastmilk, not the synthetic ones in formula milk.

That is not the same thing as saying formula milk is as healthy as breast milk.

It is outrageous that the EU is allowing formula companies to tell this big fat lie. Wonder how much money formula manufacturers spend lobbying entertaining bureaucrats and MEPs?
