On a Sunday I always get the News Of The World <prepares for everyone to flame me for this!!> In the magazine that comes with it there was a column written by an ex apprentice 'star' about how she returned to work after three weeks when she had all of her 3 children. She said as women we need to stimulate our brains or we end up 'slumped in starbucks having innane conversations about the shadow of our former life we now lead' or words to that effect [shock] I can't link to the article as you have to log in to read NOTW online but did anyone read it? I was bloody furious! I have never really felt compelled to comment on anything I read in the NOTW, but the thing that made me most angry apart from the fact that anyone who takes more than 3weeks mat leave is a blathering idiot [hmm] was that at the end of the article.... right after all this twaddle (IMO) were the words 'Amanda Holden is away' as she is their usual columnist I just thought it was a bit insensitive with the fact Amanda Holden is currently off on Mat leave. Now... if people want to go back after 3 weeks/2 weeks/6 months, its their choice and I am not judging them, but how dare she say that anyone who doesn't has nothing else to do than sip coffee and talk crap!!?? I am prepared for very differing opinions on this obviously.... [grin]
