Contentious??

Thought it was a joke!

southeastastra · 27/03/2011 10:55

wasn't that funny though was it

Snotgobbler · 27/03/2011 16:56

basically he thinks we are all appalling, 'billious' women who fail the sisterhood so much that we must actually be misogynist Jim Davidson.

Webb writes in the style of a pretentious fifth former who has swallowed a thesaurus.

grumpypants · 27/03/2011 17:00

so, what he is saying is that there is no consensus on the 'right' advice? Because we are all...individuals? And that's bad? Think he needs to rescue his mate from that dire 'political satire' show and go make funny.

CheekyLittleSox · 27/03/2011 17:09

he has described EVERY other parenting forum about, not MN. I havent found the perfect parenting brigade on MN yet - is there even one to find?!

catinthehat2 · 27/03/2011 17:10

He actually posts on MN, username "stubbornhubby" I am given to understand

CheekyLittleSox · 27/03/2011 17:12

Robert Webb does?????? Does he?

hatwoman · 27/03/2011 17:16

webb is stubbornhubby? he's pita

madwomanintheattic · 27/03/2011 17:17

cat, is that right?
(this was done yesterday btw, on feminism, i think...)

CheekyLittleSox · 27/03/2011 17:18

oooh il look out for that poster.

hatwoman · 27/03/2011 17:19

what a shite article. shock news. get a load of women together (on an internet forum) and they, erm, have different opinions. Confused

madwomanintheattic · 27/03/2011 17:40

i think that was the point. Grin

keep the sisterhood divided by putting them all in one place and chucking in the ff/bf bomb. keep the patriarchy alive and kicking, and all that.

stop them joining together as one voice and overthrowing the menz.

y'know.

a conspiracy theory.

but i'm gald there's another thread, because once again i get to say:

'we are all individuals!'

I am Robert Webb.

omnishambles · 27/03/2011 21:50

No I am Robert Webb

Hassled · 27/03/2011 21:55

The MN reference - mildly amusing. Yes, we're just like a right wing twat of a comedian Hmm.

The rest of the article - all over the bloody shop. What is he on about? Parisien tunnels? Princess Di? Lager anecdote? Stream of conciousness bollocks of the most irritating kind.

Great advertising for mumsnet. If anything, it will draw people in for a nosey! And, once in they'll be hooked like me!:)

redstripeyelephant · 30/03/2011 14:49

I know headmasters and retired soldiers who make more convincing feminists than some of the women who take bilious swipes at each other on the Mumsnet forum.

This did make me laugh actually Grin (and is a little bit true)
