And yet I got a bollocking from a nurse in hospital when I accidentally nodded off on a bed, holding my baby DS. I don't like co-sleeping for other reasons than SIDS prevention (today's parental bogeyman) ... and I trust 'child experts' as far as I could comfortably throw them

Co-slept from birth to two years, because I trust my instincts, not anyone elses.

Not to say that people that don't aren't trusting their instincts I hasted to add - I just meant child experts have no say in what I chose/choose to do.

I think nodding off holding a baby is different to co sleeping.

Plus, it being safe to co-sleep doesn't mean cots are dangerous.
