That is horrific Made me feel ill reading it. Poor, poor little girl...

what is wrong with people?? I hope she gets every kind of horror that she deserves in prison.

I'm sure she will. Prison is always a reliable venue for abuse.

I agree that her behaviour is barbaric and unforvigable but I think the whole system has a part to play too. I think that everyone is expected to take to motherhood like Mary Poppins and if you don't then there is something severely wrong with you in society's view. I think some women need a lot of help adjusting to the new role and need continued support. it seems to me that after the first couple of months you are left to get on with it. Please don't think that i am trying to condone this woman's behaviour but to stop it happening again we need to look at WHY it happened.

Not excusing the behaviour but so often, sadly, by the time these things are in the hands of the professionals the damage has been done
