I know its something that has often been mentioned. Does anyone know if MN towers are going to be doing anything similar?

Oh I don't know Pixie. I've seen enough people threatening suicide in my few years on this site.

I've seen this in discussion before, about mumsnetters posting, and its quite clear from their posts that they have young children whom they arent looking after properly. I'm sure ive seen discussion asking mnhq if they can contact someone in the area about it.

I think a 'suicide button' is a harmful idea personally.

It has horrible potential to encourage trolling and the also of course to encourage nasty backlash against worrying threads.

Mumsnet HQ really aren't the ones best placed to avert suicide. Posters are best doing what I've seen plenty of regs do which is to post the links to and numbers of the Samaritans.

(As an aside I watched that link and thought what a lovely example of iPad use Blush)
