Does anyone what caused the death of this footballer at such a young age? He seems to have been such a lovely guy with a great talent. His poor family.

Richards was a fine player but was forced to retire because of a illness, although I don't know whether it was this same illness that killed him. Richards was one of the best centre backs I've seen at my club Tottenham and it is a great shame that both his life and career have curtailed prematurely. RIP
