Check your ecological footprint

If everyone lived like me we'd need 1.7 planets. And it's only so low because I'm on mat leave and walk everywhere atm.

Mines 2.4 and only beacause I don;t drive and we are too poor to fly.

JonesTheScream · 17/10/2005 14:19

2.2

cupcakes · 17/10/2005 14:22

I thought the title said 'how QUEEN are you?'
I like Barbra Streisand so thought I'd do really well.

littlerach · 17/10/2005 14:24

2.2 here too.

Lucyfercat · 17/10/2005 14:28

1.8 cos walk most places and don't fly as we go on holiday in the car - I wasn't sure about our house size though, but I am a fanatical recycler and avoid processed food if poss!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/10/2005 14:28

3.1 and we would need 1.7 planets

foundintranslation · 17/10/2005 14:30

foundintranslation · 17/10/2005 14:30

Lucyfercat · 17/10/2005 14:31

fishie · 17/10/2005 14:33

8.7 but discovered had entered country as ukraine by mistake

Dana · 17/10/2005 14:34

I am here to make you all feel better. 3.1 planets . And I thought I was pretty environmentally friendly. I do fly a lot with work though (trying to make myself feel better!!)

JanH · 17/10/2005 14:34

2.1 planets (that's if I did the conversions properly).

2.4, twinset??? I do drive (too far sometimes as you know!!!) and have flown a few times in the last 2 years, yours should be less than mine. (Or was that your footprint? Mine is 3.7)

Gobbledispook · 17/10/2005 14:35

3.3

Would need 1.8 planets.

However, I have no clue on the car fuel question or the size of my house in square metres so I just plumped in the middle.

Dana · 17/10/2005 14:35

But the average here is 6.6, so I'm not that bad I suppose...

JanH · 17/10/2005 14:36

House size converter

gingerbear · 17/10/2005 14:36

So if we all become cycling, walking, vegans who only buy local produce and use no electricity, we can save our planet.

I think the test is somewhat flawed.
We can do our bit to save the planet, but it should lie with the world's governments and industry in particular to stop destroying our planet.

JanH · 17/10/2005 14:39

mpg to l per 100km

1.8 and I didn't cheat. Very pleased.

Gobbledispook · 17/10/2005 14:49

But I wouldn't have a clue in either measure JanH I'm rubbish!

popmum · 17/10/2005 14:55

mine was 2.7 planets but: Why does it matter if you eat meat? There were no questions about recyclying were there?

Tinker · 17/10/2005 14:56

rainforests are being cleared to make way for cattle rearing.
