Hello!

Some of you may remember Ben Needham who went missing from the Island of Kos in 1991 aged just 21 months.

Ben would be 21 years old now and his family have never given up hope of finding him despite it becoming more & more difficult to keep Ben's profile in the media.

Many leads were not followed up correctly in the early days and further leads that have come to light have not been thoroughly followed up since.

Ben's family have started a petition to try & force the re-opening of the case and the follow up of the leads. The petition can be found here......

www.gopetition.com/petition/42827.html

Please can you take a few minutes to sign.

There is a new website detailing the whole story, details of birthmarks that Ben has and age progressed pictures as to how he may look now. Details of how to contact your MP and other ways to be able to help here......

www.helpfindben.co.uk

Also, there is a Facebook group called 'Help Find Ben Needham'. Please join and share the links to the campaign & petition on your profile or status - even just for 24 hours - It can make all the difference.

Imagine not knowing what happened to your child and having to live with it for 19 years. If you can help et his name back out there it may be all it takes to reunite a family.

Thanks x

I can remember when this first happened and thought the treatment his mum got was shocking.

hellymelly · 23/02/2011 21:57

I've signed.I've never forgotten this sad event and I thik of Ben from time to time and hope that his family will find him.I'm sure for all the parents here, there is nothing that could be worse than losing a child.

Raffiiscool · 23/02/2011 22:08

I have just read through the website - so sad - I cannot imagine the pain that this has caused his family. The pain, frustration and helplessness they have experienced and are still suffering is clear.

The government support seems lacking and inconsistent with other cases.

weasle · 23/02/2011 22:08

i too think of this often. wish you lots of luck.

I've signed. All is not lost - I'm thinking of that young woman in the States who has found her birth parents after she became suspicious about not having a birth certificate. Best wishes.

hellymelly · 24/02/2011 20:44

bumping for you.

thefairies · 24/02/2011 22:49

I signed your petition a while ago and it's on my facebook page. Although it won't make up for all those missing years and ongoing pain, I really hope this campaign alerts people worldwide and helps you to find Ben safe and well. Best of luck and mumsnetters, please do your bit and help spread the word...

partyhats · 25/02/2011 00:14

Have signed, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Conserve · 26/02/2011 13:48

I have also signed and sent the link to people in my address book.

Miracles do happen.

goldenbirdies · 26/02/2011 22:12

Done - do you think it would be better to put this in 'chat' as well? You might get more signatures as it's busier there. I have never forgotten about Ben and I only hope one day he will be reunited with his family. x

Lambskin · 01/03/2011 16:13

Signed, and agree with goldenbirdies the more people who see this the better. Good luck x
