I reckon Lord Lang will be getting gob in his food next time he eats out after this.

I am getting more and more depressed by the day about the Tories holding power again especially as this time they are vengeful and don't even have a mandate. Angry

ambarth · 09/02/2011 18:50

What an arsehole.

Spidermama · 09/02/2011 18:53

The Tory Mr. Nice disguise keeps on slipping in the most hilariously blatant way.

Better than being self-important, anyway.

ThisIsANiceCage · 09/02/2011 19:12

That's hilarious! Oh god, fantasizing about feeding him to best friend (secretary): I'd pay to watch. You'd have to hose down afterwards.

"Cowed" not the word I'd use...

Spidermama · 09/02/2011 19:17

You've gotta love the conviction of the unelected.

Well I suppose to a rich twat with a chauffeur, bus drivers probably are 'unimportant'.

In fact they must be a downright inconvenience, clogging up the roads with their omnibuses full of proles, and getting special fast lanes of their own that even rich twats with a chauffeur can't use.

What a fucking knob.

edam · 09/02/2011 21:29

It's refreshing when a twat is honest though. Unlike Gideon and Dave who have to pretend to give a fuck about ordinary voters.

At least it's now clear why his ineffectual committee has never bothered to actually do its job and stop cosy deals where ex-civil servants from the MOD walk straight into armaments companies, or Dept of Health people go and work for companies that mysteriously win the entire NHS contract for London shortly afterwards.

Funny how he hasn't noticed his committee is entirely useless - surely the evidence shows he might as well not exist, hence far less important than people who actually contribute to society, such as bus drivers and waitresses?

After Gordon Brown's 'Mrs Duffy' incident where he made it quite plain how he felt about ordinary people's views, I don't think foot-in-mouth disease or looking down your nose at the hoi polloi is exclusive to one political party. At least, being a Tory peer, he had the good grace to say it out loud....

edam · 10/02/2011 23:23

I don't think GB was objecting to Mrs Duffy on class grounds at all. He's a son of the manse who has spent his life working to improve the lot of ordinary people. He mistakenly thought she was racist. Quite different from Lord Tory 'bus drivers aren't good enough to be on my crappy and ineffectual committee'.

One of the MPs on the committee he was appearing before pointed out he had been a bus driver and his wife a waitress - wish I could have seen the look on Lord Fuckwit's face!

Chil1234 · 11/02/2011 10:06

LOL!! Gordon Brown may have wanted us all to believe he was a 'son of the manse', regular Joe, but he was just as snooty & contemptuous of ordinary people as anyone else at the top level of government. Remember the 10% tax debacle when he raided the wallets of the very lowest-paid workers for tax? This is not a party issue....

edam · 11/02/2011 20:16

yy I DO remember 10p tax and it will probably haunt him for ever. Very, very, very stupid.

Doesn't even begin to compare with Clegg betraying a manifesto committment within five seconds of wrangling his way into office though (and that lie about 'we didn't win' is so blatant - the pledge was to vote against any increase in tuition fees, a statement that assumed they would be in opposition).
