"Disabled people following the event on Twitter were shocked when a member of Disabled People Against Cuts asked their followers to spread the word that protesters were being kettled. Later that night, an account of the kettling, along with a photo of the barriers placed around the group, appeared on the organisation's blog, describing the incident as 'a kind of containment'."

alleged kettling perhaps.

"They had fences around the protest but we weren't detained in that area, we were free to leave it."

"Protester Lisa Egan told me on Monday night that she had been allowed out to get a cup of tea."

That's not kettling!

I wasn't sure either when I read the article niceguy. What really shocks me is the way their
concerns are ignored by the media.

Without meaning to belittle their cause. Looking at the "London Coalition Against Poverty" website, according to their own count, 80 people turned up.

That's not many if you compare it to say the recent student demos.

That and I suspect the world is currently distracted by the events in Egypt and in the words of a Labour aide "It's a good day to bury bad news"
