Me too Baroque.
The sad thing is that it happens, along with the dogs kept in kitchens and crates 24/7 so that they don't muddy the cream sitting room carpets and the dogs dumped because the owner has a baby or is pregnant.
I was asked to find rescue for a German Shepherd the other day... because, having been kept either in a utility room or behind a stairgate since the owner's 11 month old child was born, they didn't like it that the child was reaching through the bars and considered the dog a risk because he walked away from their child.
Bastards, the lot of them.
