well her DH does work on the Guardian...Wink

Stuff like this is annoying though:

"It is also a home of virtual protest, but members are equally drawn from the three major parties" Hmm

""nookies", which, Mumsnet user "Nookybutnice" explains, means "breasts""

nookies???

LadyBiscuit · 23/01/2011 20:02

I think they mean norks. Bless them - it's like children mispronouncing words and thinking they're really clever :o

I know the Grauniad and Observer are supposed to be 'sister' papers but in reality I believe, there isn't much love lost between them, hence my being slightly surprised by this.

& the poster is NorkybutNice - of course - how could they get it so wrong???

Ponders · 23/01/2011 20:23

oh and the statistics....Confused

Mumsnet's 600,000 members
Mumsnet draws 25,000 postings & a million hits a day
The site's members tend to be aged between 25 and 45
75% of them have degrees
their income tends to be slightly above average

where does all this come from??? There hasn't been a survey for years has there? & when there was one it was self-selecting & pretty small iirc yaddayadda (if there's been been one recently I missed it Grin).

75% have degrees? really?

ssd · 23/01/2011 20:25

yeah, I've been here years and years and have never been asked my age/education/income so where did they get this from?

LadyBiscuit · 23/01/2011 20:27

Yes I was very Hmm about that 75% figure in particular. Because it's absolute bolleaux as far as I can tell. 50% I can believe.

She is an excellent publicist for Justine Roberts.

nannynobnobs · 23/01/2011 20:43

Haha! Nookies!!

LadyBlaBlah · 23/01/2011 22:27

There was a survey last year, iirc

Who is an excellent publicist for Justine, Pascoe?

catinthehat2 · 23/01/2011 22:33

What, are you saying the writer and the subject are related because they have the same surname?

Confused
