Effect of work on parenting

BBC report

The headline seems to be that stressful work hampers good parenting, but a stimulating flexible kob (regardless of pay) encourages it.

Now, where can wemfind them?

I personally find the biggest hurdle standing in the way of good parenting is 'children' :)

Never has there been a better time to bring back the 3 day week!!!

Would I be lowing the tone to Grin at "stimulating flexible kob"?

Oops! embarrassed

I remember the 3 day week in the 70s - I was young enough to quite enjoy doing homework by the light of an oil lamp, but I think it was very, very hard for workers. It also went hand in hand with a major economic crash, an IMF bailout and soaring inflation.

Back to the linked article, I've now seen the reporting on the telly news - it seems to focus on hard working, stressed parents being bad for families.

Can someone remind me whether Demos is linked with any particular shade of politics.

Not sure you need a 'think tank' to figure that one out. Just sounds like it was done to give gravitas to the 'alarm clock Britain' soundbite.
