Interesting article in the Daily Mail, highlights the fact that this fatal disease is still baffling scientists, what is well publicized is that prions cannot be destroyed by man, therefore, it is conceivable that we are being exposed via almost anything, air, surgical instruments, blood products, water from buried BSE carcasses, vaccinations.

something else to worry about then

Oh FFS, we had BSE in our dairy herd, it wiped out one generation of cows, the ones that were fed on crappy food, and it did not get passed down to the next generation, i.e.the calves that they gae birth ro and yes they did feed them.

Sorry feeling really sore as our family are now giving up dairy farming after about 300 years, due to fucking supermarkets so that is 100 dairy cows, nicely looked after, and 12 men made redundant.

Sorry 1000

And have you ever thought that it might be something else, e.g pesticides?

organophosphates spring to mind

I wouldn't worry!

If the Mail is right about airborne transmission, then this is mass extinction for humans and bovines (and possibly other mammals). But if it were airborne, then I think we would already have seen quite a different disease pattern.

Fascinating things, though, prions. So much we don't know.
