Midwives call for shift in focus on maternity services

Hope this link to the BBC works. Basically the RCM is calling for more resources and a change in attitudes so more women can have home births.

It's good to see this in the national news. It seems many people here have anecdotal evidence of how shortages affect birth.

wow an article on midwifery+ homebirth that I totally agree with!

In this age of cuts, cuts and more cuts it's odd that (much cheaper) homebirths are not being encouraged more.

It shows the lobbying power of the medical profession.
