I guess I don't like the idea that a child has been charged with "inciting religious hatred". At 15, could you possibly grasp the implications of burning a pamphlet like that?

Surely burning of any symbols - effigys, flags, pamphlets, crucifixes etc should be within our rights?

Burning the Quran would have a different significance for Muslims than burning a Bible would, due to the laws they have regarding the book itself - which Christians don't have. Wasn't defacing the Quran one of the things done to prisoners in Guantanamo bay?

IIRC - A quran was flushed down the toilet at Guantanamo at least once. Very cruel, not just a show of religious disrespect, but also trashing someone's very special possession and source of comfort.
