Gas explosion in Salford this morning

We're in South Manchester and heard this this morning. Really hope everyone is ok.

Just saw the pictures on the BBC site. It looks awful.

A 76 year old woman has 30% burns it seems. I hope she'll be ok,and several others,including some children,are also injured.

It also says that they think some people may be trapped beneath the debris.

It's miraculous if they're all ok looking at the pictures, especially with it happening so early when people were probably at home. We're about 6 miles away and we heard it quite clearly. Horrible.

A gas explosion is one of my biggest fears.

totally horrible although they are saying that everyone who they know to be in the houses have been accounted for. But they are still looking incase of house guests or walkers/passerbys who have been affected.

I know it was heard near the trafford centre.

Just down the road from us, been listening to the radio reports about it, how awful :(
