But he wants to help Aids orphans in Lesotho bundle. And he may provide us with Princess Chelsy in due course

desperatehousewife · 15/09/2005 11:17

cough..hewitt...ahem

jampots · 15/09/2005 11:18

can someone cut & paste it - i cant get into it

Marina · 15/09/2005 11:21

dhw, he does look much more like the Duke of Edinburgh than anyone else of his generation of royals though.
And Hewitt does have a generic upper-class-twit-limited-gene-pool look about him - there are lots of mini-Hewitts around and even he can't have been that busy.

tortoiseshell · 15/09/2005 11:26

Think they've done DNA tests

Chandra · 15/09/2005 11:27

TBH I can't see which one is worse, if the Duke of Ed. or HEwitt...

desperatehousewife · 15/09/2005 11:29

like the scientists would dare be honest about the results of the dna test!

weesaidie · 15/09/2005 11:45

He is going to be the next Prince Philip... fantastic...

expatinscotland · 15/09/2005 12:00

They've done DNA tests. He's deffo 1/2 Hanover and 1/2 Spencer. Think he gets the ginger from the Spencers, tho.

JoolsToo · 15/09/2005 12:02

just seems like a normal boy to me - well as normal as you can be with his background!

good luck to him!

Bugsy2 · 15/09/2005 12:10

ROFL at whole thread & particularly Marina's generic upperclass nincompoop gene pool theory!

bundle · 15/09/2005 12:41

chinless wonders, the lot of them.

@ thought of Princess Chelsy, priceless

Harry the Twat was on a big yacht in the bay of st jean de luz on the first night of my holiday.

the next morning he was gone (scared of meeting me then)

suspicious

triceratops · 15/09/2005 13:12

He is embarrasing and a bit of a Nazi. I wouldn't want him for a friend and would be ashamed to be related to him. I am very glad that it is highly unlikely that I will ever be forced to be his subject.

Up the republic.

chenin · 15/09/2005 13:42

I'm going to post in his defence. Does anyone actually know what it is like to be born into the Royal Family. No, none of us do. He didn't choose that course in life. Can't we cut him a bit of slack?
I thought he came across really well in his interview. I like him - he is the nearest thing to a normal Royal we have got. By the way, I'm not a fervent Royalist - nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, I think a lot of them should be axed from the Civil List. But there is no getting away from the fact we are stuck with them and just because one of them, i.e. Harry, is showing a bit of normal 21year old behaviour, is that such a bad thing? Give him a break.

weesaidie · 15/09/2005 15:13

I just think he is a bit of an arse, I don't care whether he is royal or not. But I don't think that is an excuse. Just as I don't think it is an excuse if you are born with very few privileges, etc.

Just don't really like him. No apologies for that.

weesaidie · 15/09/2005 15:14

I don't really know what it is like to be anyone but me.
