Alway the forgotten man of British rowing. Died yesterday aged 51. Won 2 Olympic golds with Steve Redgrave, became a father for th fifth time a month ago.

I saw this earlie. DP and I were talking about it earlier.
the man should have been mourned by the nation for his achievments and the utter tragedy of his death.

instead the front pages were splashed with Wayne frikin Rooney on holiday.
