Thats awful

JoolsToo · 14/09/2005 15:23

I'm a bit skeptical to be honest - can't really see someone who 'specialises' in babies being to cavalier with their comments!

Still, you never know.

The Daily Record is the Scottish version of the Daily Mirror.

I wonder why they didn't do a caesarean? When my DS had the cord around his neck the consultant immediately said - caesarean - not worth the risk of death or brain damage. (But that could have been because of the scan results showing that the baby was already losing oxygen whenever there was a small contraction -perhaps this mother's scan didn't show that?)

Personally I wouldn't use the Daily Record for housetraining dogs but if this is true, and why would the parents lie, then that doctor is one heartless b***d and should be struck off for that one comment.

Could not do a c-section as IRH in Greenock is a midwife led unit, only downgraded from a consultant based unit shortly before this incident, consultant based unit is 20 miles up the motorway

That is just too awful for words
