Hate Plot Campaigners Jailed

Just deserts for this particularly viciousy lot. The gang terrorised people working at a legitimate laboratory with hoax bombs, death threats and vandalism. Hope there's a few big cuddly rats in their prison cells that they can befriend...

I wouldn't call Huntingdon 'legitimate'.. I don't agree with the terrorim but I think the sentences are very harsh. Huntington is a vile vile place.. they will test any product for any conmpany.. for a price.

TheFallenMadonna · 25/10/2010 20:43

They were intimidating people who worked for companies linked to Huntingdon Life Sciences eg suppliers. I don't think the sentences were harsh.

Huntingdon is a terrible place - but that does not make it ok to threaten individuals... However, 6 years? Isn't that more than a rapist would get? Hmm

"Huntington is a vile vile place.. they will test any product for any conmpany.. for a price."

No, they will test any legal product for any legal company. Are they "vile"? Well that's a personal judgement call.

Does being "vile" even justify putting people through years of hell and abuse and causing millions of pounds of costs? No.

I support the sentences, but then I also support tougher sentences for rape.

I think anyone who is anti-vivisection should be very pleased these criminals are now behind bars. They, and others like them, have set back that particular movement decades and been instrumental in the rise of support for groups that are pro animal testing. Wonder if they appreciate the irony?

When you have a street get-together and the main topics of conversation are car bombs and death threats then you take a pretty dim view of these people! Fortunately we've not had any trouble from them for a few years but people are still nervy. I'm worried that there will be some sort of backlash to all this.

They do give peaceful protesters a bad name, there are people working very hard to find alternatives to animal testing and good on them.
