here according to the article the CCTV footage shows 2 seperate incidents of the servant being beaten by the Prince. Why didn't they give it to the police?

Ermmm, they did give it to the police.

scurryfunge · 19/10/2010 16:55

It was Police who seized and reviewed the CCTV.

after the servant had died yes - why not before? He may still be alive - poor man.

probably nobody looked at it until the police seized it

scurryfunge · 19/10/2010 16:57

I'm guessing the investigation didn't begin until the man died.

childrenofthecornsilk · 19/10/2010 16:58

I'm sure they'll claim that no-one saw the CCTV or heard a man being beaten in a lift on 2 different occasions. Seems unlikely to me that no-one in that hotel knew what was going on.

Ok I see what you mean. A large hotel may have 30 plus cameras, all recording 24/7. No one could realistically monitor all cameras at all times...that is why they record.

He must have been bleeding after that. Surely someone saw or heard something. There would have been blood in the lift surely.

The sauds are a very powerful family.

scurryfunge · 19/10/2010 17:07

No necessarily any blood in the lift....the attack that killed him took place in their room.

Most hotel workers do not give a damn about the lives of their guests and would not be actively looking for a possible crime taking place.

childrenofthecornsilk · 19/10/2010 17:08

Just seems really sad that there were so many people so close by and no-one helped him.

OP posts:

Absolutely - same as domestic violence.....so many people near by and on hand to help but unaware of what is truly going on.

Poor man.
