There's also the issue of the money spent on multiple royal households in a poor country.

I was on a street in Swazi when my driver pointed out a member of the royal family - distinguished by the way they dressed. Thing is, having seen one - there then seemed to be an awful lot of them. I suppose the money spent supporting them isn't so bad if it's then ploughed back into the economy by their spending - however, I suspect that a fair amount leaves the country (eg in BMWs...)
