I think they are bloody amazing - 17 days on 2 days ratons. Months in the dark etc.

But it keeps nagging at me - where have they been going to the loo?

Avantia · 13/10/2010 06:58

Amazing scenes - very emotion for all there.

Did they all have dark glasses on when they came up,was wondering what they would do having been withiut daylight for a couple of months.

Wonder what the twist will be when they make the hollywood film.

whomovedmychocolate · 13/10/2010 07:06

Watching the 5th one going up. Absolutely amazing.

Started crying when they said he was being met by his girlfriend and 2 month old baby. She must have just been born when her dad got trapped underground.

Who was the irst one out? Was it the diabetic one? I would have thought he would be one of the first ones out.

SuperLapin · 13/10/2010 08:13

Everytime one comes out I start crying - what an amazing thing to see.

Hulababy · 13/10/2010 08:14

Turned news on first thing. So wonderful to see the first of the men out.

Just watched the fith man come out, the youngest. He does look much younger and weaker, bless him. I hope he is okay and gets to see his girlfriend and baby soon.

So the shaft goes down again for the sixth.

racmac · 13/10/2010 08:19

absolutely amazing to watch - they are soo lucky to be out alive and I think that the government and the rescuers have been wonderful.

They have brought up the 4 healthies/fittest first to test the chamber - they are starting to bring up the more vunverable ones now

Hulababy · 13/10/2010 08:19

5andahead - the first 4 out were some of the stringest and those deemed most able to deal with any problems with the winhcy, etc. the fifth was was the first of the more vunerable.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 13/10/2010 08:20

5andahead, the first few up were the strongest and most resilient, in case something went wrong. Now they've got a few up and they know it works they are going to start bringing up the men with health problems.

PosieComeHereMyPreciousParker · 13/10/2010 08:31

Wow....so moving

TheOldestCat · 13/10/2010 08:34

Oh what lovely news to wake up to (even if waking up here with the baby is grim at 5am; this puts it all into perspective!). What amazing scenes.

Starmummy · 13/10/2010 09:12

Bawling my eyes out. Chile have done such an amazing job, asked for, and received help from around the world. Unlike the other country beginning with the same letters who handled their mine collapse very differently, sadly.
Strongest went for in cas elf problems, then the weakest and the foreman is last, like the captain of the ship.
Well done Chile.

mummyofexitedprincesses · 13/10/2010 10:08

Wow, this is so amazing. So happy for these men and their families. Well done Chile and the international effort.

I totally agree with the psychologist on the BBC about letting them get on with their lives without making them into celebrities, though.

ornamentalcabbage · 13/10/2010 10:12

Brilliant :)
