Like my headline? Grin

The Tactful One himself has asked Annabel Goldie, leader of the Conservatives in Scotland if her pants match her kilt. Is it time to retire the mad old buffer or would we be missing out on comedy gold?

One has to wonder whether one's choice of husband was the correct one (to be spoken in a ridiculously posh voice). I have no interest in the parasites royal family, but he is the funniest one of all I think. Imagine being Phil, he has no real job, not a lot of patience and nothing to lose.

Tippychoocks · 17/09/2010 13:02

He is 90 but that's not an excuse, he's been doing it for years.
I think the royals are worth every penny for the comedy value. Between PP and Fergie, that's value right there Grin

Well, she doesn't seem to have been thrown by it in any way.

SkylineDrifter · 17/09/2010 14:44

Annabel Goldie took it in the manner in which it was meant - as a joke. And I'm pretty sure Ole Phil knew he could get away with that with her.

Wolverine · 18/09/2010 14:08

... and did they? :)

noddyholder · 18/09/2010 14:09

You can always rely on him Grin

Panzee · 18/09/2010 14:10

Yes Wolverine, I also want to know what her answer was!

AgentProvocateur · 18/09/2010 15:28

I was at a function with Annabel Goldie, and she was the life and soul of the party. Great fun and very good company. If only she wasn't a Tory...

panzee she said "I couldn't possible comment. And if I had, I couldn't possible exhibit them".

He is a star, a breath of fresh air in these times of stifling political correctness

LynetteScavo · 18/09/2010 16:05

Is he really 90?

I think he should be forced to do more official duties...I think we need more of this stuff.

noddyholder · 18/09/2010 16:17

I agree I love a bit of political incorrectness. My mum asked my dp the very first time she met him why he hadn't considered a 'wee toupee'(she's irish he's bald)!I left her alone with him for less than 5 mins and she said tha Grin

sfxmum · 18/09/2010 16:19

why should he care, he is old and married to the QueenGrin let him entertain us

MollysChambers · 18/09/2010 16:30

Twas hilarious. Can't imagine Annabel Goldie gets blokes enquiring about her undergarments very often. She took it rather well.

He is a complete embarassment and I'm no fan of the royals but for some reason I find old Phil hugely entertaining.

I love Prince Philip, and have no patience for the rest of them. We have a list of his 'best' quotes on the board in the kitchen, these here
