I'm wondering why this is being reported as "couple found dead" when it is fairly clear that the husband murdered his wife before taking his own life.

Doubt she had much choice in the matter as strangulation isn't the most peaceful way to die. I haven't read the comments since this morning but they were all along the lines of, "selfish people but at least they didn't take the children with them"

Well they were found dead weren't they? The article explains how the deaths occured.

why does it say the dad was found hanging in the children's bedroom and then later say he was found hanging from the loft?

the whole article seems inacurate. I agree that it's shitty the way these horrible kinds of murder/suicides are reported.

It's because an inquest has been opened. They can't report the suicide as 'fact' because the inquest has to be held and a verdict reached.

So they can say 'found hanged' and report circumstances surroundi ng the death but not decide it was suicide, as you all have.

Also 'suicide' is often avoided as a cause of deaths it invalidates any life insurance the deceased held and that affects dependents.

No two separate people were found dead. One almost certainly killed by another much stronger person, and one in a manner which suggests that no other person was around to cause his death.

Isn't "Woman presumed murdered by husband" more accurate at this stage as opposed to this murder / suicide tag?

Couple found dead says it all really. You gave 'no' idea what went on. Your theory is almost certainly true but until the evidence has been gone through it isn't a fact.

The only fact is that they were found dead. You can't presume anything.

True. All I was thinking when I posted was that family annihilators are usually not women concerned with a major shift in money or status.
