It doesnt look good for her tbh.. and she had to be forced to testify.

expatinscotland · 05/08/2010 10:44

she's a morally bankrupt cokehead. i can't believe anyone's surprised she may have taken blood diamonds.

snugglejunkie · 05/08/2010 12:15

A random present of dirty stones??!?! wtf? Even she isn't that dim. Agree with expat.

She said she didn't look to see what it was til the next morning.

All sounds very strange tbh.....and rather like a James Bond plot!

The Liberian Civil War, which was one of Africa's bloodiest, claimed the lives of more than 200,000 Liberians and further displaced a million others into refugee camps in neighboring countries.

Naomi Campbell- "This is a great inconvenience to me"

I'm sure the families of the butchered and displaced have a great deal of sympathy for her having to get on a plane and turn up.What a twunt!

On a 'People You Wouldn't Like To Be Stuck In A Lift With' list... La Campbell has got to be in the top 1.

DuelingFanjo · 05/08/2010 16:38

AFAIK she isn't the one on trial is she?

OctaviaH · 05/08/2010 16:41

eew, eww naomi campbell. She's vile.

And, quite obviously lying- 'a bag of stones' my arse. I believe Mia Farrow.

DuelingFanjo · 05/08/2010 16:44

horrible warlord

supermodel

Meglet · 05/08/2010 18:13

So will she get prosecuted for receiving the stones and is trying to lie her way out of it?

Or is she just scared of any threats from the Liberian government?

Chil1234 · 05/08/2010 19:18

She's meant to be the star witness for the prosecution and they even subpoenaed her to appear. Proof that he was using blood diamonds etc. if he was giving them to supermodels at parties. Pity they didn't bother to rehearse the answers given the efforts they made to get her there. If she's the best the prosecution have got they're clutching at straws.

Meglet · 05/08/2010 20:48

She has a bad surgeon. Too much cheek implant in there.

HonestyBox · 05/08/2010 21:43

Offensive and vacuous performance. She is so self-centered that she thinks this trial is all about her. She had a chance to help in a very important case that millions in Africa are watching with anticipation. She should have put her ego to one side and applied her minuscule intelligence to the matter in hand. I feel she obfuscated the facts.

catinthehat2 · 05/08/2010 21:54

Has anyone worked it out yet? Why she is so reticent?

I mean, whyever would some random blokes would be handing over valuables to an attractive lady in a hotel room?

Anyone?

Chil1234 · 06/08/2010 05:57

I expect, as she said in her evidence, she has a track-record of being given gifts by total strangers. That sounds credible although the anonymous nature of the gift, less so. An admirer would surely want her to know who it came from.

I would also suspect that she may not have known who he was at the time but has bothered to find out who Charles Taylor is since. She can't be offered witness protection because she's too high-profile and perhaps she's simply frightened of repercussions.
