Dear Mumsnetters,
I am a writer currently researching a piece for Company Magazine about young Mums who decide to stay at home and raise the children.
In a similar vein to the Times' piece which came out a couple of weeks ago, I am writing about the growing trend among women in their 20s who choose not to return to work soon after having a baby. I am keen to speak to women in their 20s who have made this decision and to hear about their experience of making such a choice. It is a positive piece intending to stress the mother's choice and the shift in attitudes over the last generation towards women who have decided to stay at home and how this is now something women proclaim with pride.
I would like to speak to women who are happy to share their thoughts on the decision making process and who are proud of having chosen to stay at home to raise their child.
I would also like to speak to a woman in her 20s who has made the choice to go back to work in order to hear the other side of making such a choice.
