When he apologises for his ridiculous 'JFK' )(riddled with rubbish) maybe I'll take him seriously.

Without wishing to give any credence to his nonsense about domination of the media I can see what he was getting at.

There is a lack of awareness in the west as to how much Russia suffered at the hands of Hitler.

Russia suffered about 23 million dead due to Hitler, possibly 14 million of those being civilians. That was about 14% of it's total population, as a comparison the UK lost less than 1% of it's people.

Why don't we really know very much about that?

Personally I suspect it's because pretty soon after WW2 the Soviet Union switch back to be the enemy and therefore there wasn't a lot of interest in their sufferings.
