Obviously no one else cares. Which is why it went on so long........

This is such good news. Some friends of mine were held there several times. The youngest child was still easily in primary school at the time. The family are now having trauma counselling to work through the experience of being held in detention. I suppose it's nothing compared with what they faced had they been sent home, but that should hardly be the point in this country in the 21st century. I raised the issue with several MPs but no-one seemed interested...

Hooray! It is fantastic news... another step closer to ending child detention.. If you are interested in following the developments and adding your voice you can join the Children's Society outcry campaign - www.childrenssociety.org.uk/all_about_us/how_we_do_it/campaigning2/OutCry!/19866.asp
