I wanted to share some powerful firsthand accounts from two doctors- Dr. James Smith and Dr. Rossel Morhij- who have recently been working in Gaza. Their stories shed light on the catastrophic collapse of the healthcare system and the devastating human impact of the ongoing conflict.
Hospitals are overwhelmed, medical supplies are critically low, and healthcare workers are struggling to provide care amid constant danger. The injuries and trauma they describe (especially among children) are heartbreaking and highlight severe human rights violations affecting civilians.
I believe it’s important we listen to these voices and raise awareness about the urgent need for humanitarian aid and protection of civilians in Gaza.
