I changed energy suppliers and it was all planned a few weeks ago that today would be the change over day. So all seamed well this morning then suddenly around 4pm my electric and gas went off..... we did find out there was a power cut in the area so at first assumed it was just that and maybe the gas wasn’t working because our boiler is electric and the electric was off Because of the power cut. After other people’s electric came back on but ours did not we rang our old supplier who confirmed we are no longer with them. We rang our new supplier who kept telling us it was still a power cut. After I rang the power grid they told us there was electric going into our house but not passed our meter which was to do with our energy supplier so we rang them back and they tried to fob us off but after we told them we need an engineer out now they told us no we have to wait until tomorrow and we have to ring up 8am!!! We have a baby in the house and now no gas or electric at all!!! Is there anything I can do? I know it’s 10pm on a Friday but surly this shouldn’t be allowed to happen

Do you need gas/electric overnight? Can you have an early night and call them in the morning?

My freezer is defrosting. My phone is on 6% and about to die Iv no way of changing it. I did ring my old supplier and they said they can help me tomorrow. Iv been unable to sterilise my baby’s bottles or boil my kettle. I’ve explained this to them and they just said they can’t do anything at all until tomorrow.

Ask if anyone can keep the contents of your freezer over night. Charge phone at a neighbors.

It's a shitty situation but be thankful you don't need heating on etc.

I'd pop round to a neighbour, ask to charge up your phone, phone a friend to come round with milk for the baby or to see if they can put you up for the night.
If you don't open your freezer it will not defrost.

Who is your new supplier please? I used to work for a big six company and might be able to point you to somewhere that can help

I'm sure you can cope until tomorrow morning..
