I’ve. Posted before and my situation I’ve got my self caught up in if u wanna click on profile and read about it al. This post is about advice I need to no is there way I can’t make it happin, my child shares my ex surname when the child was born things where fine then it all turned nasty. Anyway I am just wondering would anyone have an ideals of how a can go about this. Like I said in other post in in jail at the moment for his D.V actions but will get released in just a few short months he’s threatening to take the child to another county.. he could be just tryin to scare me but am loseing sleep over it all.. any ideas please and thanks x

Is the father on the birth certificate? Does he have parental responsibility? If not, I believe you can change your baby's surname via deed poll without involving your ex.
If he does have parental responsibility then you would need a court order to change the name without his permission.
