Could my child's father take her??

Hi all, looking for some advice,

Basically I have a daughter who is 22 months old and her father is Turkish, i want to go on holiday there this year but my family is worried that he could take her should he see us, I don't think he can as he isn't on the birth certificate and has no rights should it be England! Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this subject that could help? Thank you :) xxx

I am not sure of the legal ins and outs.

However, if he does decide to remove her. It would take time to get her back.

If he turned up with his family and simply took her what could you do, in that minute?

Before you make a decision, do your research. Turkey isn't part of the EU.

And even if you can,legally, get her back but his family hide her?

It's not just wether something is legal or not. Sometimes things happen that aren't legal but there isn't much they can do if they can't find her.

I can understand why your parents are worried.

Someone will come along with legal advice. There are a few mn'ers who have legal back grounds. But please make sure you verify everything. I am sure they would suggest that too.

If there is any chance at all he could find out you are going then no, dont go. Is it worth the risk? Go somewhere else where he has no rights.

Why worry, just pick a different country.

Thanks I'll look at that website! And he likes to go to the holiday areas so he could be there, I personally don't reckon he would but people are telling me to check and I don't have a clue how to!! Xxx

Sorry but the risk does not add up. I would 100% not go.

I think if you are going on holiday many more places you could go without risk to your child.

Nope I wouldn't take the chance. No way in hell. Go somewhere else op, it's not worth the risk in any way.

why would you even consider going there if there is the SLIGHTEST risk? You know in advance there is a risk and you can easily avoid it

Btw of course I have put my child's safety into consideration, I don't think he would as he isn't that sort of person I just wanted to know to but everyone at ease xx
