because if i dont i will have to shave them. their hairs get everywhere. i thought i had a grey hair this morning, it was cat hair in my hair. my toast has a nice tabby hair attatched to it. the kitchen windowsill needs trimming.

Of course not. You need to move into the garden. You mad woman, haven't you realised yet that the house belongs to the cat??

booyhoo · 22/06/2010 14:10

i would move into teh garden but that is where they keep their stash of dead birds (4 this week-eugh) so i wouldn't want to disrupt their meals.

cover their beds (and the 5216546514 other place where they sleep) in multiple strips of velcro, that should catch any stray hairs

booyhoo · 22/06/2010 14:15

ok, so their beds, my bed, ds1's bed, ds2's cot, both sofas, ds2's rocking snail, playtent, all of the kitchen and the bathroom? i'm onto it now.

booyhoo · 22/06/2010 14:16

i have to really long haired cats that shed like mad.

i get them groomed quarterly. bathing them and tidying their fur up every few months works wonders...and you don't feel like your life is dominated by cat hair.

i also try not to have too many fabric covered things that i cannot easily wash frequently.

LynetteScavo · 26/06/2010 17:41

LOL! That cat looks exactly like my cat!

LynetteScavo · 26/06/2010 17:42

Oh, and you are supposed to brush them.

nikki1978 · 26/06/2010 17:50

This is why I refuse to have pets. Hair really freaks me out - unless it is attached to something of course....

DreamTeamGirl · 27/06/2010 00:10

Arghhh cats! What IS it with them. Cant they just shred and be done with it? but no, they have to carry on shedding for weeks and weeks- its just attention seeeking you know?

Anyone want to adopt my 3?

diamondsandtiaras · 29/06/2010 13:10

Do you want to borrow my 2.4yo DD? Our cat is now so scared of her he won't come into the house during the day........
