How do I rescue a pot with burnt jam on the bottom

Or more precisely charcoaled jam stuck to the bottom.

How on earth can I get the jam to lift?

Tried boiling with very very salty water but only a little of the charcoal has been removed. I need to retrieve pot as it is the bottom of a 3tier steaming pot

Help please!

Try with one of those products to clean the oven (those with the bag included, to soak the racks). They would dissolve anything!
Another alternative is bleach. It works wonders on burned food in cast iron pots (but I use it veeeeery rarely).

Boiling up some bio washing powder has saved several pots in this household

Vanish is good too. Hot water, Vanish and a long soak.

Tried most of these but not the dishwasher tabs or the oven pride. Doing the dish tab now. If that doesn’t work then oven pride tomorrow then the bin
