After reading one of the threads on here, I have just been inspired to put my microfibre moppy thing to good use (I had no idea what it was really meant for either but it was pink polkadot and looked so cute so I had to get it!).
I even nipped out to get some soda crystals especially for the job.
The good news is it worked magnificently - my black and white chequered tiles are back top their shining glory. However, as I stepped back in to the hall to admire my handiwork, the handle of my moppy thing knocked off a pretty much full glass of strawberry cider, leaving my white walls and carpet BRIGHT EFFING PINK!
Got it off the walls ok... and got to work with my carpet cleaner (ruining my clean kitchen floor because i had to run through while it was still drying to grab the stuff from the cupboard). I've got to leave the cleaning stuff a little to see if it works, but it's never tackled such a scary problem before and I have a sneaky suspicion it's not going to do the trick this time.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to clean bright pink cider out of white carpets? It's that knotted pile stuff so I don't want to have to scrub too much incase I ruin it.
The worst thing is, that was my last bottle of cider!
