OMG The ants have gone (touches wood) - it may have worked!

Thought friend was mad but she appears to know what she is talking about, we appear to be down to about two ants!

sorry! friend told me to literally go round the outside of the house with ant powder =- did it last night and altho there is a chalky white rim (no gaps) there are [excited but cautious emoticon] no more ants!

( OK i am probably being thick here) But what about the ants that were already inside the house ? how will they get out if they wont cross the line of powder ?

well, she says that they come in, get food and go out again. So, they walk thro the powder take it the nest, and...I am totally believing her as it is the first day I have not been faced with a little cluster of them by the dining table

oh OK nasty little buggers .

I find that sticking ant death powder down at the first signs of them tends to stop them for the season. Then repeat next year.

I used antstop spray at our old house - one spray round the bottom of the house/doors etc outside each year seemed to do the trick - the ants couldn't get in.

A line of cinammon works just as well and doesn't poison you!
