I want a hoover that really sucks!

Having had shite hoovers for the whole of my married life I want one that sucks in a different sense.

Currently we have a Vax model that is crap - you can empty the dust container all you like but the filter has to be scraped out to improve performance at all and doing anything with it makes me very wheezy.

So what do you have and is it any cop?

I want a hoover with bags btw - bagless is just a nightmare to empty!

this is intersting the dyson doesn't do well

whooosh · 21/04/2010 19:53

oh us SEBO owners are so exclusive they really are the best and very few are allowed into our club....
Dysons IMHO are shite.....(and I have owned one)

GoldenSnitch · 21/04/2010 19:59

Ah, but buying a SEBO would mean admitting my MIL is right!!

My Henry doesn't seem to suck that well - what am I doing wrong? And I find it heavy & cumbersome, always getting stuck round the corners of the sofa

miele cat dog - fantastic - sucks so hard it sort of sticks to carpet (you can turn it down)

nigglewiggle · 21/04/2010 20:12

I'm a Miele lover - not literally, that would just be wrong

Northernlurker · 21/04/2010 20:13

Ivykaty - I've just looked up my existing hoover on there and the reviews (all bad) exactly mirror our experience. Ho hum.

Miele cylinders are not bagless, but the bags hold masses, they still suck until completely stuffed, & the bags/filters don't let any dust back out so they are really clean.

Plus they are narrow enough to sit on the stairs (Henry isn't) & light enough to lug easily up & down.

Brilliant. They always come 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc in Which tests (along with the occasional Bosch)

Goldensnitch-that may be a bitter pill to swallow but I promise it would be worth it.

Sebo every time - they are fab

notimetoshop · 23/07/2010 23:29
