I would go Ben10

scattyspice · 10/04/2010 19:36

Ben10, tis all the rage . Def send Dh into the pool at the party. I found myself in a very shallow pool at a swim party last yr and had to make light chitchat with several of Ds friends DADs in my cossie . I spent most of the time crouching on the floor so that only my head poked out!

Have bought DC new trainers (will have to stuff feet into school shoes a little longer as now skint).

Spent lots of time at the park . Loving the sunshine!! Have successfully trained DD to climb the whole length of the climbing frame thing (including wobbly chain bridges) so that I can finally enjoy a summer of sunbathing on the grass with a book rather than hauling children on/off playground equipment .

DS and I LOVE the new Dr Who .

evening all. have spent lots of time with dc this week, ds has been at his grandparents since thurs night, collect him tomorrow. ds passed his grading today and is now an orange belt

spent the afternoon at grandpaarents with dc, SIL and nephews. very exhausted now. dd has been whingey on and off, think we have had busy days/ late nights too much so put her staright to bed when we got in at 6.30 and she went straight to sleep hopefully tomorrow will be better.

now watching HArry Potter whilst avoiding uni work

Ruby agree with others def BEN10 all the boys in the school I volunteer in are md on ben 10- and a fair few girls too

Nuttybear · 10/04/2010 21:38

Evening all Have spent a great day in the sun on bikes. Now have to figure out how to teach Little bear how to cycle and keep Dh's sanity. We have him on a big-ish bike with training wheels & the seat too far up. I have looked at website to help and I will pass the tips on another day to DH. Work tomorrow 7am start so a bit of telly then bed. We can only watch recorded telly as DH has taken our telly out of front room and we are using old telly So I must dash as he will be bored waiting for me.

dylsmum1998 · 11/04/2010 09:33

fun on bikes sounds good nutty.

I tried to make my own bread by hand last night . tis rather heavy- almost cake like. do any of you lovely ladies make your own and have an inkling of what I did wrong?

think we might be off to the circus this afternoon. Am hoping for a less whingey day from dd as she slept 6.30pm-7.45am last night

I need to go and get dressed before solving the destruction in the kitchen

BBL

scattyspice · 11/04/2010 11:10

dyl Circus , hope you make it there. DD has been a champion whinger this past year, though starting to drop the habit now (thankfully). She has gone from 'poor me' to 'miss bossy' LOL (I much prefer miss bossy).

nutty we are bike riding dunces. DS is 6 1/2 and can just about ride with stabilisers (can't steer very well), dd won't even get on a bike and has been very reluctant to use her new scooter. I think they are just badly co-ordinated lol.

Sunny today. Dh is planning to take kids out somewhere ( may need to remind him) I am pottering.

To do:
ironing
laundry

How do all you FLYers

having a bit of a sit down with a mug of ginger and honey tea. Today I have

Moved the compost bin
Spread the mountain of compost onto the leaf mold to create a new flowerbed
Planted a buddliea (they had self seeded over winter so I moved them)
Gone through the herb nursery and transplanted thriving specimins to bigger pots and into the greenhouse
sweep the garden
Banish a visitor from the yard for racially abusing one of the neighbours kids told him to come back when he has a cleaner mouth and brain

Lovely sunny day, hope you are all having fun

scattyspice · 11/04/2010 18:55

grouchy at the unwelcome visitor!

Dyl DD has just turned 5!

Had a good day at the beach with sis and friends. Feel totally sandblasted now! didn't get much ironing done though.

Work tomorrow .

EVye · 11/04/2010 20:34

dd2 is champion whinger at 3.4

Nuttybear · 11/04/2010 23:31

scattyspice I thought DH's methods of teaching might need to be updated so I googled for info and found this teach cycle DH had the saddle far too high. We are going to use this man's methods. It going to take an age but he'll get it when he's ready. I was 22 yrs before I learnt to cycle, so anyone can. We just need the least parental row inducing method
House is a mess as I was at work today. Off to bed now, just seen Rick Astley for a charity do. Bloodly marvelous not what I was expecting. He played heavy rock covers very impressed and not vomit inducing which was part of the reason I went in a fleece and scruffy jeans! The supporting band had my son's teacher in her band were great too.
Have a good Monday everyone

marking my place ready to join the new week eager to get restarted!!!!!!1

Makingchanges · 12/04/2010 12:44

Afternoon all I'm back from holiday. Was even slightly relaxed until I ended up being ill and saw that the ants had decided to set up residence again in our absence. Not had chance to catch up, just marking my place then once sorted, unpacked and removed the ants I will be back with a cup of tea to read all what has happened.

Hope all ok

dylsmum1998 · 12/04/2010 18:40

evening all have had a lovely day with dc in an enchanted forest, playing on the massive swings and meeting a Zeedonk.

Some exciting news came while we were out, a HA lady phoned we are going to view a 3 bed house tomorrow. We have to meet the housing man and look round if he decides we/it is appropriate I sign the new tenancy tomorrow and move in at the weekend. excited is an understatement!!
