I'm doing my entire flat... given that it's probably the size of some people's living rooms!

I need motivation... must get off mumsnet and do some more. I find it easier doing 15 mins or so, then having a break, then doing another 15 mins.

dylsmum1998 · 29/03/2010 10:22

Tea well done coming off the meds

swan hope you feel better soon, enjoy your hols

am feelinga bit bleurgh today, was meant to be meeting a friend for a catch up but nasty tummy bug is going round. hoping this isnt the start of it and didnt want to pass on if it is

Hi all
A little absent last week, will fill you in later
Just had to transfer £2000 to my SIL from our savings, she has separated from her husband and has all sorts of money worries. PIL will give it back when they get back from hols on Weds - why it couldn't wait?!!!
otherwise, been swimming, trying to do the front crawl now, it's impossible! Swam 2 lengths breaststroke into the deep end!!!! So proud of myself.

Afternoon all

I have had a horrid start to today and am hoping it gets better. DD woke up at 1am this morning full of beans, not tired and wanting to watch telly (no chance). Took my til turn 4am to get her to bed and only then by me sleeping next to her on a cold hard wooden floor. Woke up this morning aching and then dd overlaid and was grouchy cos she was tired. I then scrapped my car down the school carpark gate barrier. Managed to make a nice dint, scrap down the wheel arch and took the paint off . Then just when I thought it could get worse the boiler broke on me and when I tried to fix it it shooted water at me - my dad has been round and got it working but we need a new part.

On the plus side I have been to the gym today and yesterday as well (Needed to combat the take aways we have had this weekend), my hoovering is done and just about to put washing in then off to pick up a no doubt grumpy tired DD from nursery before a governors finance meeting tonight - all I really want to do it so back to bed.

Sorry to be grumpy. Be back later

EVye · 29/03/2010 17:48

Hi all, I only pop on Fly occasionally. I've never been that good at it... so my flat does get in a bit of a mess, then I sort of try to make an effort.
Today whilst my car was in the garage for a service gave me 3 to 4 hours to tackle things. It does look better... some boxes went to the loft, caught up on all the washing and got it dried and put away. I can see the floor - which is always an improvement. The bathroom smells of orange (orange scented Mr Muscle).

Yep I'm on Twitter... if anyone wants to follow me Tend to tweet child related things, plus things local to me (East Berkshire, West Surrey, North Hants).

Hi Grouchy,
sore throat worsening, I am giving up, and sitting down with ds1 to monitor Star Trek.

One holiday bag packed
I load of laundry done

grouchyoscar · 30/03/2010 11:59

Honey and ginger tea might help your throat

Simply · 30/03/2010 12:17

Hello to all. I have read the thread but the specifics are now lost on me.

I have unexpectedly been swimming this morning as dd and her friend missed the bus to town and wanted a lift. I went last night as well.

Ds is hungry and is making himself lunch and is distracting me in the process so I'll sign off. Back later!

scattyspice · 30/03/2010 16:15

Hi all.

swan sorry you're not well. Where are you going on holiday?

I am totally knackered. DD woke up at 4am wanting to open her presents . It has poured with rain all day, got soaked coming back from school. Have abandoned gymnastics, hunkering down with tea and toast instead .

To do:
laundry

swanriver · 30/03/2010 18:02

The usual (ds2 wants desperately to go to Birmingham instead) Eire.

swanriver · 30/03/2010 18:08

Apparently it's snowing there now
frosty bunnies..nice...

definitely give up and eat toast Scatty. Ds2 has done a puzzle. Dd has written 8 thank you notes ds1 is still suffering, he has been listening to Madness. Lots of telly today for all of us. Garlic bread in oven, sausages and pasta.

swanriver · 30/03/2010 18:14

scatty how is the new job arrangement working out? and hope dd gets a good rest tonight, and you too.

EVye · 30/03/2010 19:10

swan - we are going there in the Summer

Wolfcub · 30/03/2010 19:13

hello all

I'm afraid I come armed with a request. Does anyone have a hooped skirt (of the type to go under a wedding dress) that they would be willing to lend me?
