LOL wolf yes I wear one everyday .

swan Brr Eire sounds cold. The new job arrangements haven't started yet (don't know when). Not looking forward to it really, going from being team leader to going where needed .

DDs birthday celebrations have now officially gone on for too long I feel.

Wolfcub · 30/03/2010 20:18

panic over - DP bought me one from ebay. Less than half the price of hiring one from bridal shop

swanriver · 30/03/2010 23:02

LOL Scatty, hope she is not up toasting herself with champagne. When I first joined this thread, she was only three makes one ponder...
[hourglass emoticon]

EVye have you ever been? Truth is I've never been to most of the famous scenic spots, only really Wexford, Westmeath and Sligo, and a touch of Connemara caravaning as a child.

I must go to bed, really my timeclock is drastically awry since clocks went forward.
Bb in two weeks!
HAPPY EASTER ALL

Makingchanges · 31/03/2010 07:46

Starbear · 31/03/2010 09:53

Morning Cold and raining here! Where did the spring go. Swan Wrap up warm I saw the weather forcast brrrr!
Taken today off as Mum can't do Wednesday.
My new job is sooooo simple that I'm a little worried that I'll get bored. Hey! It beats having the old huge 'To do before I go home' list. I need a new diary as my old filofax with day-to-a-page is not necessary and too heavy to bother carrying around. I have no lessons, assemblies, meetings, crimes to investigate, fights to stop, statements to be taken on camera, arrests, bails, stop & searches & reports to write. So I'm not complaining really.
Sorry, I have not caught up with the thread
Hope every is ticking a long. Back in a mo with a list.

swanriver · 31/03/2010 10:01

Star that sounds like family/school life to me specially the stop and search bit.
No, just wanted to say, NO WONDER you were a bit tired in your previous job. You must have been great at it, I am full of admiration.
[Now, swans off to airport after cleaning out two revolting front garden dustbins]

Starbear · 31/03/2010 10:14

Makingchanges · 31/03/2010 17:01

Colour day was fab. I am a summer apparently (I daren't look how that relates to my wardrobe although I was wearing the right colour today) also bought lots of make up - I don't tend to wear it or buy loads in the wrong colour so once my colour was worked out for me I had to buy it (Daren't tell DH though

Right throw some tea down my neck and off to sign language

Oh good news - DD got in at first choice reception - its the school she is currently in nursery in so am very happy

Dylsmum what is your course in. Am puzzled re law when you want to be a teacher. Congrats on taking the class, that sounds fab - Well Done

Right I am back and tired out, haven't done alot all day but I think the information overload has worn me down. Need to copy up notes and leg exercises before bed. Also need to tidy up kitchen and lounge but may be naughty and do those in the morning.

Star job sounds perfect although I can see about concern re getting bored.

Hello to others must get on and finish off. Tomorrow will be the first time this week I haven't got something on into the evening so I'm hoping tomorrow will lull me easily into the easter hols.

Starbear · 31/03/2010 21:48

Ruby I'm a 22 year service police constable, was a safer schools officer now I'm public protection desk. What were you planning to do?
Like the rest, I what to go to bed early tonight. I really can't figure out why I have no motivation. It could be because the weather has turned grim again. Oh! I planners have turned us down Taking DS & friend on to the Thames Clipper & the on to the Monument tommorrow (inset day) On a sunny day I would be looking forward to it. Now I can only think it will be wet, cold & windy. The rest of the weekend will be fine as other people have made arrangements to feed & entertain us Spring where are you

dylsmum1998 · 31/03/2010 21:52

MC am doing BA in early childhood studies, so its a broad degree through which you can get into many areas to do with children; teaching/social work/therapy so law relates to other professions really but i have to do it. I really dont have the brain power to grasp all the law words etc so have struggled through the lecture and now have to do a presentation and an assignment and feel like i am trying to swim the atlantic think that would be more possible at the moment.

giving up for tonight I have a full day to get started with it all tomorrow once dc are in school/ nursery

Hi everyone. How's it going?

Apart from toys everywhere my living room isnt too bad. I seem to have a huge accumulation of washing so the house looks like a laundry at the moment.

Cant decide what to do with the kids at the moment...

Makingchanges · 01/04/2010 11:14

Morning all

Spent all morning playing at camping with DD - think she has been inspired by the time we have spent at the caravan setting up for easter. Had a shower and dressed so finally come to life.

Jobs to do today

  • Washing mountain - need to wash loads to ensure we have clothes we need for our jollies tomorrow
  • Pack some clothes
  • DD to nursery. Me to school
  • Finish autism assignment. Its really hard and i'm really struggling
  • Find some DVD to take tomorrow for DD. Weather forcast not brilliant and we have a problem with our TV channels at the van.
  • Find a couple of good books for me for tomorrow - I'm hoping for some lazing in my big comfy chair.
  • General tidy. Cos I have been out everyday nothing has been done and the house is in a general state of untidiness.

Right best get on - back later

Hi all RR What is an ICV?
Dylsmum What bit of the law are you looking at I know a little about 'Every Child Matters' but probably not enough to help again
Little bear & friend had a lovely time out Thames Clipper is a brillant service hop on and off at river stops. Went up the Monument. Little bear suddenly couldn't cope with the height as he was looking down the stairwell and a lovely lady who I now know to be Joan talked & held his hand all the way up & down again. Lovely lovely lady. I bet she's a flylady.
Now off to make Little bear's tea.

dylsmum1998 · 01/04/2010 17:06

Thames clipper sounds good- is it expensive? we are planning on going up to london again to watch the bridge open in a fortnight.

I'm doing bout how involved the state is in family life- is it good/ is it bad band the laws and theories surrounding this

dont truely understand it myself all i can think of is no intervention= beaten children etc
too much intervention= nazi Germany

need to do lots more reading around the subject to try and form an opinion so i can do this one
