My DS2 was sick in bed last night - alot!!!

I had to change his bedsheets 3 times, so they are all in the wash easy.

But his mattress smells and so do several of his teddies - I have opened all the windows to try and air the room and matress, and sprayed it with an antibac spray but it still pongs........... and top tips ?

Bicarbonate of Soda, sprinkle on, leave as long as possible, hoover off. It works but if you miss even the tiniest splash the smell lingers!

DS was sick in his bed recently - sorted ds out then took everything straight down to washing machine including teddies. Left the window partially open all night and he slept ith us so that the mattress could air.

The smell was very distinctive and I hate sick so think although smell had gone it was just stuck inmy nose if you know what Imean.

If you are sure it is still there trying airing mattress more and maybe fabreze?

I give the bicarb the vote. I also used it slightly wet and rubbed it in and left it to dry then hoovered. Teddies if they can put in the washing machine. I also have an Ikea bed cover which stopped the sick going through after it happened the first time its not a rubber feeling mattress cover and it saved the mattress !
