I'm hoping to book our summer holiday today
My all time Fav books Jean de Florette,My Fathers Glory- My Mothers Castle All by Marcel Pagnol. I also love Sci-fi but it has to have a base in real science not keen on Dragons & magic.
Back later DH going to football

Evening all Wolf I'm up for a meet-up. I don't get out much and love York or Harrogate which I saw with a iffy ex-boyfriend, nice to see it with independant eyes. I'll have to stay at a B&B but I'll love the lie-in too!

A frayed at the edges sort of day - children going to bed a bit late, house a bit of tip, usual row about church {but got there with all three

but generally quite pleasant:
pancakes for breakfast
tea and cake with dcs at friends' house & dh afternoon
dd to bowling party afternoon
present bought on way back from church
£4 worth of smart party dress for dd bought from Peacocks ditto
dh cooked the lunch whilst we were out in the morning he is getting better at these things and possibly glad to be home
I read the whole of "Brooklyn" this evening - trying to make sense of it now

Wendy all I can suggest is you earmark one at least of those mornings (before they get swallowed up by tasks) to do something different, something you would have NOT have done with dd. It is difficult to adjust - I used leap at chance of one being a bit coldy to take them out of morning nursery and go BACK to toddler group to see my friends - how sad was that
wolf not sure about York, as it is always difficult to wangle escape unless I bring kids with me
Star fngers crossed for extension. You must have seen dozens of variants by now and know your mind on the matter.

Squalid kitchen must be now dealt with, and uniform wash
back in half an hour when done.

Wendy lol ty. I have been feeling a bit guilty since i did it. glad to know i am not the only one that has childish moments. we did have a good chat in the car on the way home abou this behave. he apologises then says he doesn't realise he is doing it. however me saying ds you are shouting/being rude/being* should be a big clue that you are doing something wrong.
*insert unwanted behaviour as appropriate

oh well we have had a calm evening. dc in bed, i have got everything ready for my interview tomorrow. just need to get some sleep. it has been over a week since i have got to sleep before its time to get up in 2/3 hours.

very good luck with your interview Dyls - just remember you are vg with and LIKE children, not something all teachers are (you'd be surprised)
I think teenage/10 yr boys all a bit shouty -when is this testosterone going to settle down? 10 mile walks may be the only answer

kitchen cleaner than it was
food compost out
uniform hung out
dw on
breadbin cleaned out

off to bed now
can't face meal planning, think I know what tomorrow's meal is though at least..
tomorrow I AM GOING TO TACKLE THE GARDEN
