OMG I can't keep up with the socks -make them go away !!!

the amount of socks is a farkin nightmare

I can never catch up

and I don't care if they are inside out anymore -fuck em

I wash by each individual, it started when DS developed eczema and needed a different washing detergent that I didn't like the smell off. Everybody has their own laundry basket, DH does his own washing and I wash mine and the kids' stuff. The kids' socks go in with their clothes and I do my socks in with my pants.

DH has black socks with the only differences where they will be covered by his trousers. DS has 4 weeks worth of grey school socks, plus 3 sets of 3 designs of dinosaur socks. Any odd socks go in the sock drawer to await the next wash and hopefully their partner. I regularly throw out all my socks (except for 3 pairs of lovely walking socks, at the moment 2 pairs and one odd one ). Then I buy sets of socks, usually 6 sets of 3 different colours. Again any odd ones go in the clean drawer to be matched at the next wash. So the only one in the family with a range of odd socks is DD who needs different colours to co-ordinate with different outfits.
